Welcome to House and Shutter! My name is Holly. When I set out to start a blog I wanted to find a way to marry my professions as a Realtor and a Photographer. I knew I wanted my blog to be carefully curated with beautiful images, informative posts, and inspiring stories. Above all else, I want House and Shutter to be a soft place to land. I have a long-standing love/hate relationship with social media. I love scrolling through TikTok, Instagram and Pinterest as much as the next person. Endlessly scrolling through images of beautiful homes with their clutter free living rooms, perfectly decorated kids rooms and kitchens the size of my main floor. There's undeniable beauty in content like that, but I also believe it can rob us of our peace and our contentment. So let House and shutter be a place where we not only showcase "average" but celebrate and find beauty in it!
